Format
Used medium-format enlargers
These take roll-film negatives from 6x4.5 up to 6x9 cm. Makers sold 35mm carriers for them too, like Beseler for every 23C and LPL for the 6700 and 7700. Each size needs its own carrier, and the light has to match. Condenser models may swap or reposition condensers, and color heads use a smaller mixing box for 35mm. Plan on a 75 or 80mm lens for 6x6, 80 to 90mm for 6x7 and 100 to 105mm for 6x9, plus a 50mm for 35mm. KHB gives about 16 kg for an LPL 7700, which throws 16x20 in prints on its own baseboard.
